Personal Growth Solutions #2: Live without Expectations

17Rgs10

Living without expectations is the final recommendation I have for you. This concept is a little different because most personal growth teachers say that you must expect the outcome you desire and you shall have it.

Well, I’m going to disagree with expecting your desired outcome because it has never worked for me.

What most personal growth teachers will advise is to write out an intention, create a plan or “how can it be done”, then see the end result as already being in possession of the thing you desire.

For example, You want to have a specific house to live in. The house you want is a small, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, blue cottage off the seacoast of New Castle, New Hampshire in the next 30 days.

So, you write out an intention saying, “I now intend a 3 bedroom, blue cottage located in New Castle, New Hampshire.”

Next, you go through a planning process or “how can it be done” step. You create an action plan on how you’re going to attract this new house.

Finally, you go through a visualization process where you see yourself in possession of living in that new home.

It’s been 40 days and no new home. Actually, somehow you mysteriously got behind on your car payment and your credit score took a major hit below the mortgage financing threshold.

A couple days later, your wife shows you an ad on craigslist that the state is offering a program that buys you a house in exchange for mentoring young Autistic adults by helping them become independent for the next year.

Your wife looks into it and contacts the State Department and they said that there is an opening to help this young adult and the home is located in Kittery, Maine.

Out of curiosity, you and your wife meet the Autistic adult and visit the home site and find that the house is a tan and green cape cod right off the bay.

The State Department evaluates you and you qualify, but you end up denying the offer because it’s not the blue cottage home that you desired in New Castle, New Hampshire.

Now you are back to square one, no home to buy, and a poor credit score. Two years pass by and you still don’t have the home you originally intended. So, you lose faith, ditch the intention, and say this personal growth stuff doesn’t work.

If only you could see into the future of what would of happened if you’ve accepted and lived in that fully paid home?

Here’s a possible scenario. You decided to accept and live in that new home. Since the house is fully paid for, you end up trimming off $900 per month from the previous rent you’re paying.

As a result, you’re able to easily afford the rest of your expenses and some money left over to start saving. Your credit score starts climbing, your savings increase, and you live in a beautiful water front home, even though it’s not the exact one you really wanted.

As a result of that, your well-being increases. You feel lighter, happier, and at peace. Your relationship grows closer with your wife and your kids are ten times happier at this school district. It also turns out that you’ve done something special and helped an Autistic man become independent.

Because of how happy you feel and all the good deeds you’re giving, you get a promotion. Then, you get an idea to start your own business. So, you start your business and it’s a major hit. You now profit well into six figures.

Two years go by and you have the means to build your dream home off of the coast of New Castle, New Hampshire. Instead of a small blue cottage, you decide to build a historic Victorian replica. Your original desire becomes fulfilled and multiplied 10 times.

If only you trusted and let things unfold perfectly.

It’s not that I don’t advocate writing out an intention, creating a plan, and visualizing the outcome. That process works for some people, it’s just that most people get caught in the ego (plan) and expect it to show up the exact way they’ve intended it (the ego again).

It doesn’t work like that.

Your source, from where all things manifest from, is not a concierge. I have found that you don’t give it demands and it will answer the exact way you demanded it.

Your source already knows what you want and need before you are even conscious of it. What you have to do is open yourself up to all possible channels instead of limiting to just one.

Maybe you want a brand new black BMW through a promotion you want to get at work. Instead, a used and blue BMW comes your way that you can easily afford, but you deny it because it’s not new and black.

If you trusted and let go of expectation through one channel, that blue BMW may of been a perfect fit for you energetically and lasted you a lifetime of luxury and use.

You always get what you desire, but sometimes you have to let go of expectation and trust that a higher power knows better than you.

You may want a certain amount of money. However, you don’t receive that amount of money right away. In fact, you receive way less than you’ve intended. Why? Because you need to learn what money truly is and how money really operates, so you can later help millions and millions of people create all the money they’ve ever desired in life.

Therefore, a higher and more intelligent power than you is giving you what you need to learn, so you can have all the money you’ve ever intended.

The universe isn’t denying your requests. Keep the faith and it must come into your life. However, the universe is always showing you what you need to learn, so you can have everything you ever wanted.

These two personal growth solutions are a tough concept to wrap your head around. I know that from experience. But it is critical that you continue your education of knowing your self and it is critical for you to let go and trust.

A knowledgeable person who knows thy self and lives with a trust in a Divine power is considered to be wisest among all.
